POE 1 - 3.29 Loot Patch Live Now. Better High Tier Voyage Loot. Path of Exile Curse of the Allflame

I'd had really good loot from the league mechanic as had others I know. Turns out - it may have ONLY been good in white and yellow tier maps. Once I tried red map voyages today, I was as underwhelmed as lots of other people.

GGG have made sweeping changes here. Individually none are enormous, but collectively, it's like stacking four or five 30% more multipliers. It adds up to a lot.

Highlights:

Underwater points of interest are MUCH less likely to be the bad ones
Underwater points of interest are more likely to be good ones (this stacks with the nerf to spawn rates of the two bad ones)
Operative's Strongboxes can appear by RNG as well as via the deterministic method in voyages
Ducats no longer require getting far into endgame to use
More quantity and rarity underwater
Lots of QOL, especially the lanterns no longer pointing to the two bad underwater points of interest

0:00 Intro, my own day 1-2 experience was a loot fountain (way more than I got in Mirage)
1:21 ...but it's awful in red maps
1:41 The patch is LIVE! But much of this was recorded before it went live.
2:00 Strongbox buffs (Operative Boxes are available as bonus RNG spawns)
3:22 Allflame Lantern Indicators and 'bad' points of interest underwater. This is a HUGE improvement.
4:40 The first 20-40% buff: Crab nest spawn rate nerf (this is a GOOD thing, those are taking up space good loot could spawn in)
4:50 Currency, scarab and stacked deck chest rates buffed (more than needed to just replace removed crab nests)
5:27 Golden Lantern buff (I've still not had these)
5:46 Chart dead ends are rarer
6:00 The second 20-40% buff: More points of interest under water
6:11 The third 20-40% buff: Quant and rarity bonus
6:21 Sunken Opulence (NOT LIVE YET): New reward chest. The Delve chest with a similar name is good.
7:52 Ducat Crafting - available earlier. The old system was ridiculous.
9:34 Allflame Crafting expanded, the two named currencies are of limited/no use.
10:41 Voyage QOL upgrade - navigation
10:58 Chart QOL upgrade - faster launching
11:11 Allflame Lantern Placement
11:50 Future plans
12:00 Abyss (NOT LIVE YET)
13:01 Mercenaries and Luminary changes - buffs for permanently hired mercs in early endgame. NOT LIVE YET
15:49 Bugs (mostly not patched yet)
