The Wahoo Roam 3 has the option to signal turns with a beep or with voice directions while following a route. While the beep draws your attention to look at the screen for visual turn information, sometimes it can be difficult to safely view the screen. Or, if your eyesight is poor, the voice prompt eliminates the need to look for a direction indicator on the screen. It's like having your buddy say "left turn ahead" before you get to the turn, and "turn left" at the turn.
Here for reference I’m showing the V3 and the V2. The V3 map has a little more detail than the V2, and it has the option to display road names. To me, the V3 route chevrons are easier to see. This is not an exhaustive review by any stretch, but it hopefully gives you an idea of how the voice nav cues work and how visible the screens are. And yes I do carry reading glasses with me in case of emergency ;)
