We are facing a political system that commits such crimes as standard practice. We are facing a reality where violence has replaced basic moral standards, and human beings are stripped of their dignity and rights. At such a time, we must each ask ourselves: Which side of history am I on? The side that defends humanity and life, or the side that supports apartheid and genocide?
We, at B’Tselem, live here and deal with this reality every day. As a human rights organization working 36 years for justice, equality, and freedom for all, B’Tselem plays a key role in the struggle to stop Israel’s crimes and bring about a just future. We expose the truth, publish verified information, and bring the voices of victims to the world.

This has been one of the most harrowing years in our history. Our team in Gaza, the West Bank, East Jerusalem and inside Israel has worked around the clock to document and analyze reality in the areas under Israel’s control. We have named crimes for what they are and taken part in the global effort to end the Israeli occupation, apartheid and genocide against the Palestinians.
This year we also published “Our Genocide”, a report detailing Israel’s genocide in the Gaza Strip and the conditions leading up to it. The report analyzes the practices Israel is using to destroy Palestinian society in Gaza, and lays bare the systemic logic of its genocidal campaign. It also warns that the conditions driving the genocide in Gaza still exist, and there is a real risk the genocide could spread to the West Bank and even inside Israel.
In the face of violence on this scale, resisting is not just a professional obligation – it is a human duty. It is our duty to take a stand. To join the global struggle for justice and freedom. To do everything we can to stop the oppression and violence.
