Known for her great videos, we started off part two of our Lil Debbie interview, asking her about her favorite videos. She called out “Bake a Cake,” and also mentioned “Bitches” and “Tell Me,” crediting rappers Camron and Lil Kim for a lot of her visual inspiration.

We also discussed Lil Debbie’s evolving fashion look and she discussed having to give up her acrylic nails for health reasons. During the same period, Debbie also quit smoking, Swishers and drinking dairy. Debbie admitted she still loves acrylics and misses them, adding, “They’re a true art form.” She noted that her look is a lot more laid back nowadays and she credited Mark Kate and Ashley’s “homeless chic” look as one that is inspiring her at the moment.

On the topic of retro Jordan sneakers, Debbie said she wasn’t into 2016’s lineup, but said in general she still loves Jordan sneakers, especially the 1s, 3s and 5s. On the state of streetwear, Debbie says it will always matter, but “I’m not into the hype.”
Addressing the relativity of streetwear said the genre is important and matters, but she’s too lazy to stand in line for someone’s t-shirt.
