Macclesfield/Buxton Old Road (PD/DE 58) Derbyshire (Peaks) - Motorcycle Trail Riding in England

Описание: The name says it all! The former main road between Buxton and Macclesfield long since replaced by the A54 & A537 (the appropriately named Buxton NEW Road) Tends to be known as Macclesfield Old Road at the Buxton End and Buxton Old Road (or Old Buxton Road) at the western end.

The ascent out of (or as in this case the descent into) Buxton is very rocky for a few hundred metres, it will definitely cause ground clearance issues for bikes like BMW GSs, it certainly challenged my KTM 390 Adventure on a recent ride (2023) After this section a smoother, gentler descent to the West. The video was actually filmed in the other direction (west to east). Like many in Derbyshire is shown as an adopted highway but with no reference number.
