Описание: Will these guys ever run out of firearm myths to put through their Truth Tester? Not yet! Brownells Gun Techs Steve Ostrem and Caleb Savant are back to test the notion that an AR-15 has to have a tight fit between the upper and lower receivers in order to be accurate. Caleb says having too much slop between the upper and lower CAN lead to problems with proper functioning of your rifle, but the source of "tighter is more accurate" theory is companies that sell little receiver inserts that eliminate the wobble between the two halves. The barrel is mounted in the upper receiver, the bolt locks into the rear of the barrel, and your sights / optic are attached to the upper receiver. The lower receiver has no direct influence on the bullet's trip down the barrel and out the muzzle. Now, if you've paid serious money for a premium AR-15, you expect it to be well-made and have a tight fit. And if you're using a monopod mounted to the buttstock, wiggle between upper and lower CAN affect lining up your shot. But since upper / lower fit does not affect the inherent accuracy of the rifle, this myth is BUSTED!
