Pete Waterman’s World Record beating Train Set!
This is the behind the scenes video detailing the pain we went through (yes pain) as we attempted to instrument and document this layout to the standard required for Guinness World Records.
At 694.9 meters measured track length this layout obtained the Guinness World Record for “Largest Portable Model Railway”.
In this video you’ll see what went on to obtain the certification, what is required of us, how the scrutineering took place and how we provided evidence of our efforts.
The certification team included: Chris Clenton, Daniel Rotherham and David Fenton.
The layout was built by the Railnuts team and comprises separate stand-alone layouts that are designed to join together into one mega sized installation over 210 feet in length.
