Описание: A 15th century chapel in the bailey of a Norman castle, the church of St. John the Baptist, Arkholme, has a rich history. The motte of the castle stands just to the north-east of the church, commanding a strategic part of the river Lune. But the days of border warfare are long gone, and now Arkholme church is a place of peace and quiet.
