Tamoxifen may be just as good as aromatase inhibitor Anastrozole in lower risk breast cancer looking at both pre and post menopausal stage 1 to 3 patients. The 10 year overall survival were similar along with local recurrence. While the data is retrospective in nature, it may provide an overall better tolerated option especially in premenopausal women to avoid ovarian suppression and the anastrozole side-effects.
