Cartesian Presents: Requiem Psyche

From the director Matthew Brdlik: Requiem Psyche is a trip simulation inspired by real life nightmare like 'trip reports' posted online by users of the drug DPH, often consumed in the form of Benadryl. Every event that happens to Kyle in this film was inspired by real reports on the site Erowid.com. It was shot out of order, in disorienting way, with parts of conversations missing in order to emulate the effects of this substance. My aim was to drop the audience into a real life nightmare reality, as they scramble to get a grip on what is real and what isn't, while finding the darker truth in Kyle's story.

Winner of the Silver Award at the Spotlight Horror Awards.

Requiem Psyche is a narrative psychological thriller completed on March 3rd 2018. The film was posted on the directors personal channel where it garnered over 180,000 views before migrating to Cartesian.
