The 2021 BMW M4 is available with a manual transmission and rear wheel drive which comes paired with a 473 horsepower, 406-lb-ft version of BMW's 3.0 liter TwinPower Turbo straight-six engine. The 2021 BMW M4 Competition model gets a 503 hp/479-lb-ft version of the same engine with an eight-speed M Steptronic automatic. That's an increase of 48 hp for the base engine, and 59 hp and 73 lb-ft for the Competition.
