A sensational title for sure, but I really do think this configuration makes this board sound incredible. When compared to higher end and more expensive boards, it holds up!
GMMK Pro
Neopolitan switches
Aluminum plate
GMK 9009
Mods I’ve done to the board:
A double layer of gaskets added on the existing gaskets along the PCB.
Masking tape added to the bottom case and a very thin layer of Polyfill added on top of that.
EXTRA gaskets added on the underside of the top case ( I’ve never seen this done to this board yet)
PCB tape modded and PE foam added under the switches where they meet the hotswap sockets.
The result is what you hear in this video.
I type one-handed due to paralysis in my right arm, in case anyone is taken aback with how I type and this was a Sound Test, so bare in mind it’s not a typing example in a real world setting, and as always - Sound is subjective and based on personal preference.
