I remember this battle. It was one of the most challenging star objectives to achieve. The objective was to defeat Tao Qian before he could successfully retreat. I had to start the pursuit from the west while he escaped from the north of the castle. Some enemies also will try stopping my pursuit of Tao Qian (11:44, 12:20 & 12:55). Using a musou on horseback was crucial, as it provided the fastest movement to catch up with Tao Qian. I also temporarily used attack-boosting skills to be able to defeat the blocking enemy faster.

The catapult section was tedious and frustrating, especially if I had to restart the battle. It took me more than five attempts to destroy the farthest left boulder.

I have included the scenario if the star objective fails to be completed, starting at 16:58. Before that, I will show what happens if we get ambushed in the forest. At 21:02, Tao Qian retreats from the battle. The narration will change significantly, because failing the objective will skip one battle.
