Misty Mountains | Choral Arrangement by Max Randal

I based this arrangement on one of my favorite film soundtracks of all time: Howard Shore's score for Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. While the primary melodic material comes from five verses of the iconic Misty Mountains poem, I incorporated eight other leitmotifs from the LotR soundtrack (can you find them all)? I set some of those themes to their original Elvish text from the movies. Also featuring subharmonics and a section in E half-sharp major. Enjoy!

To claim our long-forgotten gold.

The pines were roaring on the height,

The fire was red, it flaming spread,
The trees like torches blazed with light.
