Episode SYNOPSIS: The Johnsons are not the only gods resident in New Zealand: Gaia's abductors are Maori deities, who claim her as one of their own. They believe Gaia to be the reincarnation of Papatuanuku, the Māori goddess of the earth and fertility, citing a rival prophecy that the goddess will be the child of a mixed-pantheon union and will wed the Māori god Māui. They reveal that Bryn killed Gaia's parents. The two groups hold a meeting to discuss their rival claims.
