B.I.G. Adult (PN- BIG A) is a spring-based, automatic intraosseous access device for adult patients to the humeral head and the proximal tibia. It features a 15G needle. In this video, we will be demoing the B.I.G. Adult in the tibia.

The B.I.G family of products are single-use, automatic, spring-loaded Intraosseous devices. Once deployed, a loaded spring is released and the device injects the needle to a pre-determined penetration depth, into the bone marrow cavity.
Intraosseous (IO) access is the percutaneous placement of an intravascular catheter into the medullary cavity with the goal of achieving vascular access. Intraosseous (IO) infusion is the process of injecting fluids or medication directly into the marrow of a bone. This provides a non-collapsible entry point into the systemic venous system. This technique is used to provide fluids and medication when intravenous (IV) access is not available or is not feasible.
