The entire incident has been captured on CCTV footage, showing the robbers entering the temple wearing helmets to hide their identity. The accused stole precious silver ornaments belonging to the deity and fled the spot.

Interestingly, the theft took place while the nearby Maitapur Mahotsav was being celebrated with much fanfare, raising serious questions about security arrangements in the area.
