Turned out not to be too big of a deal, however, it went down while snowplowing.
Whirring sound but no movement of any hydraulics. Suspected slushed moisture in the fluid (it was 8°F) but we saw the electric motor portion moving dramatically when activated... it was very very loose. Used the cam strap to lift the plow, returned to base and moved on with the tractor and backup plow.
Expecting a broken shaft, couple or some pump issue, I just ordered a new from millsupply.com. It arrived in 3 days.
Conclusion..... combination of the loose pump and filter screens needing cleaned. I believe the sudden failure was due to the loose motor.
