Soundbytes: The National Unity Party has denied “coddling” Vice President Sara Duterte, saying they are just playing “devil’s advocate” to ensure the impeachment case against her is “strong”. NUP Chairperson and House Deputy Speaker Ronaldo Puno issued the statement after the NUP released a statement last month saying it will “most likely” not support Duterte’s impeachment if no “compelling new evidence” emerges. Puno stressed on Monday that their members in the House Committee on Justice voted in favor of declaring sufficient in form and substance the two impeachment complaints against Duterte.
