HCQ 200mg Hydroxychloroquine is a 4 aminoquinoline antimalaria drug, which Is also used for the treatment of malaria.

Mechanism of Action:
Hydroxychloroquine interferes with the digestive vacuole function within susceptible malarial parasites by increasing pH and interrupting with lysosomal degradation of Hb thus, impeding normal cell function of sensitive parasites.
Uses:
Malaria, Juvenal Chronic arthritis, premenstrual syndrome, prophylaxis of bipolar disorder, Rheumatoid Arthritis, systemic & discoid Lupus Erythematosus, auto immune disease. Cutanea tarda (off label use). Q Fever (off Label use).
Side Effects:
Ataxia, dizziness, emotional disturbance, emotional lability, hearing loss, bleaching of hair, lichenoid eruption, weight loss, photophobia, blurred vision, tinnitus, retinopathy, hypoglycemia,
Contraindications:
Exacerbation of psoriasis, cardiomyopathy, haptic disease, G6PD deficiency, use of antidiabetic agent,
