Palur Jackfruit can grow up to 20–25 kg. But Vietnam Jackfruit usually grows between 1.5–10 kg, making it suitable for small families. One fruit can be consumed at once without waste. It also starts bearing in about 1.5 years under proper care, which makes it attractive for home growers and farmers.

Many people get confused seeing flowers falling from the tree. Smooth-shaped flowers are male flowers. They naturally turn black and fall — this is normal. No need to panic or spray chemicals. Thorny flowers are female flowers — these become fruits. For better female flower formation, proper nutrition is very important.

Even rocky or low-fertility land can be improved using organic inputs like farmyard manure, compost, vermicompost, panchagavya, and leaf compost. Digging trenches between plants and filling them with organic matter helps nutrients reach roots directly.

Fruit thinning is also very important. If a small tree sets 20–25 fruits, retain only 10–15. Ideally, one fruit per branch ensures better size and nutrient-rich fruits. Removing excess fruits helps overall tree health.
