Fire up that smoker because we’re turning a budget Aldi chuck roast into a backyard BBQ sandwich masterpiece.
We grabbed a 2.5 lb pre-marinated beef chuck roast and cooked it low & slow at 250°F on the pellet smoker. Once the internal temp hit 160°F, it went into a foil pan layered with sliced onions, a hearty scoop of Giardiniera, a splash of Worcestershire, and a dollop of horseradish for that extra punch.
We covered it tight and brought it up to 208°F internal, then let it rest before hand-shredding it to pull-apart perfection. Piled high on a toasted sub roll with melted provolone cheese, this smoked chuck roast sandwich proves you don’t need prime cuts to eat like a king.
Perfect for game day, weekend cooks, or when you want big flavor on a budget.
