Integrated lighting at Hillwood Janki Sokolow has reduced the amount of artificial light directed into the sky by as much as ten times.
Hillwood Poland, a leading developer of commercial space, has introduced new solutions to minimize light pollution at its warehouse development in Janki Sokolow. The company has replaced conventional lighting fixtures with modern and efficient Philips LED fixtures, manufactured in accordance with the principles of a closed-loop economy. The angle and focus of the light were adjusted to illuminate only its warehouse, while minimizing glare to neighboring areas. In addition, Philips Unistreet LED luminaires have been integrated into the Interact Cit management system. With these innovative solutions, Hillwood has achieved a number of benefits and reduced unwanted environmental impact. The amount of light generated in the upper mezzanine has been reduced by as much as ten times, minimizing sky pollution. In addition, by simply replacing the luminaires with modern ones, the installed power was reduced by 35%, thus reducing electricity consumption and CO2 emissions.
