With humour and humility, Jeff helps us see the often invisible forces that shape a community. The forces are often not where you might think, and community itself can show up in the most unexpected places.
For the past 15 years, Jeff Dudar has worked from grassroots to government organizations in a variety of community development and capacity building roles. Currently, he is the manager of Community-Partner Services with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Justice.
Jeff earned his Master of Arts in Sociology from the University of Regina in 2009. His thesis is titled “Alone in a Crowd: An Ethnography of the Development and Maintenance of Community Among Bingo Players.” Jeff lives in Regina, Saskatchewan with his wife and two kids, where he continues to be interested in exploring the existence of communities within and among us.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
