Elena Franchini was a world-champion Alpine Skier from Italy. She was known for her achievement in the world of skiing since she made her debut on March 26, 2001, ending her first competition in the 33rd position at FS Giant Race in Massimo.

Since then Elena remained popular among ski sports followers. But she died very early as her health was not good since 2017. Her death news has been confirmed by her family and relatives. Elena died on 8th February 2023.


A world-famous Ski Champion Elena Franchini is now no more among us. Her sister Nadia Fanchini posted about her death and shared her funeral details with the followers. Elena was suffering from Cancer since 2017.


After she got diagnosed with cancer in 2017 she shared in 2018 that she has been cured of cancer and will return to her game soon. She defeated cancer and came to track but she faced serious injury in 2020 when she fall while competing at a Super-G training session in Copper Mountain, Colorado. She faced fractured and serious injuries on her left knee. Later she decided to retire.

n 2020 she got retired from her sports career. It is said that in 2021 her cancer returned and since then her health was not good. And now on 8th February 2023, she died at her home in Solato, in the province of Brescia (Pian Camuno).


Elena Franchini was born to her parents Sandro Fanchini and Giusy Alessi. She was born as the elder of her two younger sisters. Her two younger sisters’ names are Nadia Fanchini and Sabrina Fanchini. Her both sisters are following in the footsteps of Elena and are famous skiers. Her sister Nadia was born on 25 June 1986.

Nadia has remained a part of the national alpine ski team since 2003. Nadia At the Juniors level won three World titles: in 2004 in Maribor in super-G. While competing At the World Championships in Val d’Isère in February 2009 Nadia Fanchini obtained ninth place in the super-G.

Nadia’s sister Sabrina Fanchini was born on 17th August 1988. Both of Elena’s sisters are now married and the mother of their kids. Her sister Nadia is famous and has 17k followers on Instagram whereas Sabrina is having only 1.7k followers. Elena herself was followed by 30.3k followers on Instagram.

Elena Franchini married her husband Deni Sottel Lizolett a couple of years ago. She was a mother of little kids. After her death, her kids and husband have been devastated. Her kids will face difficult times throughout their life missing their lovely mom who left them at a very young age.

It is not known what business Elena’s husband is doing now. He will now take care of his kids born with Elena. Elena and her husband Deni always shared their happy moments on social media. They always loved each other a lot.
