The park is located in central Hokkaido. Indigenous people called the Daisetsuzan mountainous environment the Playground of the Gods.
The park is home to many wild animals and alpine plants.
In September, fall color appears earlier than anywhere else in Japan.
Then the picturesque landscape turns vibrant when trees change colors from the summit.

About Mount Asahidake:
Indigenous people called the Daisetsuzan mountainous environment the Playground of the Gods.
Only enter this mountain after submitting your climbing/hiking plan form at the ropeway stations, reporting your check-in/out time at the point.
In some areas, your mobile signals do not reach towns.
Always check the mountain conditions and ensure you have sufficient equipment for your activities. The weather can change rapidly. I carefully chose a day and time in fine weather.
