The Free Republic of the Murdered (De mördades fria republik) by Dan Berglund is one of the most famous Swedish socialist songs. The epic lyrics, about a shipyard worker falling to his death and waking up in the "republic" is a staple late at night at parties among socialists, sung loudly by all.
This piece of communist music was first included on the album Stöd de strejkande hamnarbetarna in 1974 and then again on the albums En järnarbetares visor and Mina herrar.
