I competed in the USPSA Ohio State Buckeye Blast at the Cardinal Shooting Center, and day 1 was a real struggle because of the non-stop down pouring rain. Then on top of that, my recoil spring bolt separated and lodged itself in my slide, costing me a DNF stage. But after that and other hiccups from not being in a good head space, I finished out the day without anymore issues even though it was raining hard.

Day 2 started off with me pushing myself too hard to make up for how bad day one went, but after starting off with 2 bad stages and realizing I was just making things worse I chilled out and was able to fix myself and finish out the day strong with some really good stages. 

This weekend taught me alot, mainly not to try and make up points from a not good stage on your next stages, just let them be and start fresh each stage.

Over the next few weeks I have GSSF matches in IN, SC, PA, NJ, OH & MI; then my focus will be on practicing for USPSA Nationals.
