This is a Tool-Assisted Speedrun that aims to beat The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask as fast as possible without making use of glitches. Tool-Assisted Speedruns are made on an emulator using a variety of tools such as slowdown, frame advance, memory viewing, lua scripting, and savestates in order to create a "perfect" speedrun.

When it comes to determining what counts as a glitch, it's actually not black and white. The rules for glitchless speedruns were not decided by me or by any other one person; they are the result of years of discussion, discovery, and voting amongst the speedrun community. Over time, the rules have changed and will always be subject to change. Therefore, it's not impossible that some things in this run could later be banned, or conversely, other techniques could later be allowed that would have saved time in this run.
You can see a full list of banned techniques here: https://www.speedrun.com/mm?h=Any-gli...
I started this TAS in July of 2023 and finished in February of 2025, working on it almost daily. Over a year and a half of work and nearly 500 thousand rerecords have culminated in this run and I am extremely pleased with the result. The level of optimization completely outclasses any TAS I've made prior. You can read detailed notes on this TAS here: https://tasvideos.org/9546S
While I was the only author of this TAS, I absolutely could not have done this without the help and support of several people.
Thanks to:
-Glitchless planning group DM people (Imbued, GlitchesAndStuff, Gigopler, Jess, Fox, Trevperson, Samplename) for helping write the route, coming up with various ideas, and answering questions when I needed help.
Fox again for letting me reference his work in Pirate's Fortress
Draconif, imbued, and gigopler for good critical feedback resulting in several improvements, as well as offering a variety of ideas.
Adruckenmiller for providing a visual representation of polygons after goron graveyard
Andzura for providing MM compatibility in collision viewer for PR void zones
Kaztalek for being The Legendary Keeta and also for providing his wind script
Ecksters for documenting item drop rates in a coherent chart.
Bruce Shankle for helping me with encoding different video plugins cleanly in one high quality output file.
