His love of heavy metal was born in a Burger King drive-thru and today at the young age of 20, he’s signed to the legendary Metal Blade Records. Void vocalist Jackson Davenport joins us to discuss his band’s “haunted,” power-thrash metal; the recent concept album, “Forbidden Morals;” his unapologetic love of hair metal; touring with Dark Angel and Sacred Reich; and how a pair of vintage tennis shoes and some really cool parents helped kick the band into high gear. Oh, did we mention his upcoming dates as vocalist for Lynch Mob featuring former Dokken guitar hero George Lynch? Go ahead, knock ’em dead, kid!
