Prakriti Sharma, the Head of Program Operations at Lumiere, hosted an orientation session for the new cohort of Lumiere Research Scholars. This session covered the key components of the Lumiere Research Scholar program, providing an in-depth overview of the program’s structure, expectations, and publication process.

Prakriti discussed essential topics such as the importance of effective communication, meeting deadlines, maintaining academic honesty, and proper citation in research. She also highlighted the value of time management in ensuring a smooth research journey. Towards the end of the session, Prakriti and Kaitlin, a Publication Strategy Associate at Lumiere, encouraged participants to stay in touch for any further questions or clarifications.

Lumiere Education, founded by Harvard and Oxford researchers, offers a unique research program for ambitious high school students. Lumiere allows students to work 1-on-1 with a PhD mentor to learn about the cutting-edge in their field of interest and produce an independent research project.
