Описание: Got this locomotive from the MTH warehouse sale. frame had been replaced but not painted. Electronics were broken. Stripped everything off, including the wheels and painted the frame. Wired the motor to run forward or reverse using a DPDT selector switch in the tender. Smoke unit runs off AC (heater) and DC (fan) power. Used a DPDT switch, one side for the fan and the other for the heater element to be able to turn them on and off. Added LED lighting ( including firebox flicker lighting) from Evans designs. Used Lionel jewels to replace blown lights in the markers on the boilerplate. No longer has proto sound (it didn't when I got it) but it now runs like a conventional locomotive (albeit with a manual reverse switch like a prewar train).
