and somehow turned into my #1 hunting rifle. I dropped the action into the MDT HNT26 chassis, added the Vortex Razor LHT 4.5-22x, Vortex rings, Timney trigger, and topped it with the SilencerCo Omega 300 suppressor.

From a simple “spare parts rifle” to a lightweight, accurate, field-proven hunter, this short .308 shocked me at the range AND in the field — including a clean 400-yard coyote and consistent 600-yard vital-zone hits.
