This Rare Hummingbird is Facing Extinction!

Описание: The rare and critically endangered Juan Fernandez Firecrown hummingbird feeds on flowers growing on an island far off the coast of Chile. This beautiful and unusually colored hummingbird lives on Robinson Crusoe Island in the Juan Fernandez Archipeligo. This bird is endangered due to invasive plant species choking off the natural vegetation and to feral cats that hide under low growing plants favored by the bird. Seeing this bird come to my hummingbird feeders will remain only a dream.
