This is how I installed the Fender tilt back legs on my Custom 68 deluxe reverb. This would also work on a 65 reissue deluxe reverb.
The legs are 14" high. I believe fender sells them 14", 16", and 19". I bought these for $48.
They do not come with installation instructions so I made a video so other folks could have an easier time installing them. I removed the chassis to make things easier. If you do this, please take care not to touch the components inside the chassis even when it is unplugged because there is a risk of electrical shock.
The bolt for the leg is a 3/16" (5 mm) hole drilled 1 3/4" (45 mm) in from the back of the cabinet and 4 1/2" (115 mm) down from the top of the cabinet.
The stop uses a wood screw that does not go all the way through the side of the cabinet. I drilled a 1/16" (1.5 mm) hole 3/8" (9.5 mm) deep to help install the screw. The stop should be 3 3/4" (95 mm) in from the back of the cabinet and 3" (76 mm) down from the top of the cabinet.
I hope this helps!
