Upper Blepharoplasty Frequently Asked Questions
This video answers questions such as:
What makes a good candidate?
How long is the procedure?
What should you expect during the recovery process?
Aesthetic eyelid surgery is often considered for problems affecting both the upper or lower eyelids. In the upper eyelids, excessive upper eyelid skin can either give patients a sad look, or can hang down and impair vision. Excess eyelid skin is removed during the procedure, and the underlying tissue can be repositioned to improve the overall appearance. The procedure takes about 1.5 hours and is done under local anesthesia. Bruising and swelling may occur for the first 2 weeks and improvements continue to improve for the first 6 weeks to 6 months post-surgery.
