We bought this heavily rusted 1949 Chevrolet 3600 for just $500… and at first, it looked completely beyond saving. Covered in rust, dirt, faded paint, broken glass, worn tires, and a damaged interior — this truck seemed like pure scrap metal.
But we decided to take the risk.
In this full restoration, we carefully:
• Removed and cleaned the engine
• Rebuilt the engine with new piston rings and components
• Reassembled and tested the engine
• Repaired and welded damaged body panels
• Sanded off rust and corrosion
• Installed new headlights and wiring
• Fitted new front windshield glass
• Installed brand-new seats
• Reinstalled dashboard and interior components
• Mounted new side mirrors
• Replaced and fitted tires
• Pressure washed the chassis and underbody
• Polished the entire truck to a glossy finish
