In today's video, we discuss once again about iOS 12.0 all the way up to iOS 12.1.2 and the #Unc0ver Jailbreak which has been updated once again by Pwn20wnd to have even more features on iOS 12 taking it closer than ever to a full jailbreak with Cydia and Tweaks support. Following yesterday's release of a ROOT FS remount for iOS 12, Pwn20wnd released a few builds today which contain support for ROOT FS Restore, disabling automatic iOS updates.

This update is available in IPA format and while this is nowhere near a full jailbreak, it's the first iOS 12 Jailbreak to take advantage of a proper root filesystem remount and to put it to great use. RootlessJB came before Unc0ver for iOS 12 was updated, but unfortunately, as the name suggests, it doesn't have a remount so Cydia cannot be installed and the tweak installation procedure is tedious and prone to errors as one has to sign and patch the tweaks themselves.

At the same time, Jake James makes good progress in debilitating amfid, AMFI's userland lackey. This is useful for running fake-signed binaries as amfid won't complain about the entitlements or the signature being non-Apple, but that would still require a CoreTrust bypass since AMFI communicates with CoreTrust first and only then to amfid making a simple amfid patch too little too late.
