«Écouter la musique de Fwad Darwich c'est être transporté en quelques secondes dans les musiques traditionnelles marocaines dans un mélange électrique, emprunt d'improvisation jazz, du M'base de Steve Coleman à la fusion de Karim Ziad, en passant par les couleurs du jazz afro- américain, continuant d'inventer ce jazz marocain... Sa démarche pour réunir ces éléments se révèle une réussite à l'écoute de sa musique , vivante, joyeuse, moderne et emprunte de tradition.
