That's what we've done this week by heading to Leadville, where we're boondocking at 10,000 feet to get away from the massive, intense heatwave affecting most of the western U.S. While we're here we'll cool off at Turquoise Lake, explore the town's remarkable mining history, and pay homage to the men of the 10th Mountain Division of World War II by visiting their decommissioned training base from the 1940s at Camp Hale, high on Colorado's Tennessee Pass.

Welcome to Grand Adventure, a YouTube channel that focuses on RV-centric outdoor activities including not only of course camping, but also mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, skiing and more, always filmed in stunning 4K.
