Supreme Court ਵੱਲੋਂ Divorce ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ALIMONY ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਵੱਡਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਅਦਾਲਤ ਨੇ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੁਆਵਜ਼ਾ ਤੈਅ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਨਿਯਮ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਹਰ ਕੇਸ ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਨਿਆਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਅਦਾਲਤ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ALIMONY ਦਾ ਮਕਸਦ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਨਿਆਂ ਹੈ, ਅਮੀਰ ਬਣਨ ਦਾ ਸਾਧਨ ਨਹੀਂ। ਹੁਣ ALIMONY ਤੈਅ ਕਰਨ ਵੇਲੇ ਪਤੀ-ਪਤਨੀ ਦੀ ਆਮਦਨ, ਆਰਥਿਕ ਹਾਲਾਤ, ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਮਾਈ ਦੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
