This track blew us away — from the dry, rocky descent to the sudden shift into lush rainforest, towering sandstone walls, and icy mountain water. It honestly felt like stepping into Jurassic Park.

Along the way we:

• tackled endless steps with the kids
• explored waterfalls, ferns, and canyon walls
• found the perfect wild‑swimming spot
• spotted Australian Spiny Crayfish (Lithgow Reds)
• skipped stones, searched for wildlife, and made memories

The boys absolutely loved it — from yabbies to trout to the challenge of the climb back out. This is one of those adventures we’ll remember forever.
