De 3737 was de eerste machine van deze serie die in Nederland werd gebouwd door Werkspoor. Vandaar dat de machine werd gekozen voor het rijden van de allerlaatste stoomtrein rit van de Nederlandse Spoorwegen op 7 januari 1958.

De 3737 kreeg een compleet nieuwe ketel in 1996. Hij heeft nog een paar ritten gemaakt, Maar na een warmloper kan ie helaas niet meer rijden. De 3737 staat in het Spoorwegmuseum binnen als statisch model, maar gelukkig op 24Trains.tv nog wel rijdend zien. En welke trein of locomotief moet volgens jou de trein van de week worden?
