This 2.08 km long bridge, India's first vertical lift sea bridge, has been completed at an estimated cost of 535 crore rupees. The new structure features a unique vertical lift mechanism that can raise the central span to 22 meters in just 5 minutes, significantly faster than the old bridge's 25-30 minute process.
