Here is a really classic clip from the BBC radio programme "Jazz Club" - broadcast on the 24th. March 1960. Introduced by Alan Dell, it includes two tracks by Mike Daniels' Delta Jazzmen and two by Jessie Fuller (who was on tour in the U.K. at the time). The first number by the band "Ponchatrain" gives the pianist, Des Bacon, a rare chance to show his mettle.
The Jessie Fuller numbers (San Francisco Bay Blues and Memphis Boogie) are classics of their kind and the final number by the band (Wild Cat Blues) gives John Barnes a chance to show why his (then) recent joining was so appreciated.
