In this video, you'll see the complete teardown of the Kidibeats drums set by VTech. This is an early learning toy that doubles as an electronic musical instrument, as well as, a learning aid for numbers and letters.
This toy has several different modes which allow kids to explore various activities. Some teach you ABCs while others require you to follow along with a beat.
Once you start to unscrew this toy you realize the electronics are pretty simple. Each drum pad has a circuit board with a standard silicone button. The speaker is more robust than what you would typically see in a kid's toy.
There was a lot of molded pieces, but nothing crazy - no gearboxes or anything of that nature. Just circuit boards, buttons, a speaker, and an on-off switch. Oh, and of course a battery connection.
Remember kids, never take your toys apart or use tools without adult supervision.
