Binondo Food Crawl 2025!
Hello, guys! Join me as we explore the must-visit spots in the vibrant Binondo Chinatown, known as the world’s oldest Chinatown. Here’s our list of top 10 food destinations to try—perfect for foodies looking for a mix of iconic and unique flavors!
Top 10 Places to Visit in Binondo
Tasty Dumplings
Start your adventure with their signature steamed dumplings and the famous fried pork chop! The pork chop is massive, perfectly seasoned, and paired with a crisp yet tender breading. It’s a must-try for any foodie.
Chuan Kee Chinese Restaurant
Known for their authentic and flavorful dishes, we recommend their xiao long bao (perfect for sharing) and the savory beef mami with mantou. Heads up—there’s often a line, but it’s worth the wait!
Café Mezzanine
Don’t want to queue downstairs at Chuan Kee? Head up to Café Mezzanine, run by the same owners. The menu is almost identical, with added coffee and drink options. Plus, it’s air-conditioned for a more comfortable dining experience!
Eng Bee Tin
Famous for their hopia, tikoy, mooncakes, and more, this spot is perfect for take-home goodies. If the main floor is packed, head upstairs to their restaurant for a quick meal. Don’t forget to try their refreshing milk tea!
Lord Stow’s Bakery
Their iconic egg tarts are a must-have! With a flaky, buttery crust and creamy, soft filling, they’re simply irresistible. It’s also a great place to grab other pastries and pasta dishes.
Wong Kei Sugarcane
Located next to Vege Select, this spot offers grilled skewers seasoned to perfection. Our favorites were the enoki mushrooms and sausage, paired with their refreshing and perfectly sweet sugarcane juice—an unbeatable combo!
Salazar Bakery
A post-WWII gem, Salazar Bakery has been serving Binondo since 1974. They offer a wide variety of hopia flavors (ube, black bean, pork, mung bean), cakes, siopao, and more. A perfect stop for classic Filipino-Chinese pastries.
Shanghai Fried Siopao
No Binondo trip is complete without their famous fried siopao! Juicy and generously filled, the bun is perfectly cooked—not oily—and doesn’t need sauce because of its rich, savory flavor.
Oishiekun Chinese Bites
Just steps away from the fried siopao, this spot is for bitcho2 lovers. They offer two flavors: sugar and milky. The milky bitcho2 is a standout—crispy, slightly chewy, not overly sweet, and delightfully milky. Perfect for sharing!
Nina’s Pancake
Across the street, check out this newer addition to Binondo’s food scene. Nina’s Pancakes offer a unique twist on the classic, with fillings like sausage and chicken. Crispy, flavorful, and with a strong onion taste, these pancakes are both satisfying and unique.
Let me know in the comments which spot you’re most excited to visit or if you’ve tried any of these before! Don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe for more foodie adventures. See you in Binondo! 🥢🍜✨
