This year, I had the opportunity to begin Ramadan in the UK with my daughter, Alya. Since we were staying in a small town, the usual Ramadan atmosphere was not as vibrant, perhaps because the Muslim community there is quite small compared to some other cities in the UK. Even so, it was still a meaningful experience to share the beginning of this blessed month together.
In the last two weeks of Ramadan, we planned to return to Saudi Arabia. However, the situation became quite tense due to the ongoing conflict in the region, and many flights were cancelled including ours. It was a worrying time, but Alhamdulillah, after several changes and uncertainties, we were finally able to make our way back safely to Saudi.
This video shares a glimpse of my Ramadan experience between two places... a quiet start in the UK and the journey back to Saudi. Thank you for watching and for being part of this journey with us.
