With the COVID-19 pandemic restricting access to school in Nepal, one group of teenagers is taking their education into their own hands with a Permaculture diploma course.
Re-Alliance member Almost Heaven Farms (permaculturenepal.com) is the setting of this short film made by young Permaculture practitioners.
"We are a group of teenagers age 13-17 who have grown up on Almost
Heaven Farms, a permaculture education centre in the hillside of the
eastern Himalayas. We miss going to school and especially seeing our
friends.
But the problem is the solution. We need to be educated, we need to learn. It doesn’t look like the schools are going to open anytime soon. So the
farm now becomes our full-time classroom." - Micah Zion
