"MISUNDERSTOOD" is a short film that introduces four talented young adults from Southeast DC who are faced with different issues that are common to many youth in the world today. DC is home to some of the most talented individuals and if we do not create a space for them to express it, the anger from suppressing it will show up in self destruction, violence and more community violence
This film was created by the youth in Marion Barry Summer Youth Employment Program in Partnership with Momma's Safe Haven #dcfilmlife Film School Program. The film was written by Deja Smith, Directed by Ebone W. Grambling, Director of Photography & Editing by Juwan Saint Charles (Rose from Concrete Films), Contributing Writers Kendra Odems, Jalen Gross, Produced by Kendra Odems & Beverly Smith
